We are seeking an Automation Technician who will troubleshoot, fix, and maintain our state-of-the-art equipment at our distribution center located in Lumberton, NJ. This is a great opportunity for an energetic self-starter who wants to work in a face-paced environment with some of the most innovative technology in the industry.The focus of the Automation Technician role is to work in a hands-on manner to actively monitor, fault find, troubleshoot and improve controls solutions for automated material handling equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, scales, HMI systems, and control cabinets.The Automation Technician will repair and calibrate our automated and robotic systems. The Automation Technician will become the system expert of the warehouse's automation, including all mechanical, PLC, electrical or electronic subsystems.Position Responsibilities Unplanned electrical, mechanical maintenance and repairs Electrical, Mechanical, PLC fault finding, network faults and diagnosis and resolution Exchange and set up of mechanical wear and tear parts Exchange and set up of electrical wear and tear parts Execute Preventive Maintenance programs Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyors, motors, pneumatics and hydraulics, and production machines and equipment Regular (daily/ weekly / monthly) system inspections and checks Smaller adjustments and service tasks (lubrication) Minor error and fault corrections in the automated system Clearing of jams and corrections to conveyable boxes/totes Software monitoring and utilizing HMI's Perform various repairs upon general instructions from by the department lead/supervisor and or manager. Ensure personal and facility compliance with company requirements as it relates to PSE, Hazmat, HIPAA, etc. Perform other duties as requested by the department manager Perform general housekeeping within designated areas of facility Adhere to established federal/state/company safety procedures to include confine spaces and working in and around energized equipmentShift hours: Monday - Friday 4am - 12pm, flexibility neededRequired Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in maintenance/mechanical field- Able to work at 25 ft heights, operating a scissor lift and/or articulate boom lift- Possess a valid driver's license- Must be able to lift frequently 20-45 lbs., occasionally 45-75 lbs.COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated. Please note that in some states and roles, you may be required to provide proof of full vaccination or an approved reasonable accommodation before you can begin to actively work.Preferred Qualifications- Ability to maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, VFD's, linear drives, and encoders- Have a strong background in PLC programs, ability to troubleshoot ladder logic (used for troubleshooting), components (Controllers, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet)- Preferred experienced in industrial and electrical mechanic environment including warehouse- Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision- Ability to maintain strict level of confidentiality- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools- Must be willing to get certified on all equipment needed to complete job task- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely- Must be able to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required- Ability to work safely in and around operating mechanical systems- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret technical reference manuals, schematics, electrical control diagrams and blueprints- Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb for an extended period of time- Proven ability to be a team player who is comfortable working in a team-based environment- Ability to work with different levels of colleagues with focus on customer service- Ability to act competently in emergencies- Knowledge of WMS and Microsoft Office.Education- High School Diploma or GED Required - Associate's degree or technical certificate preferredBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS HealthEvery one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
