Job DescriptionCVS Health has a dynamic opportunity for an Executive Director to lead our dedicated PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) Client Contracting team. The PBM Client Contracting team's mission is to transform and continuously improve the client contracting business processes and technology solutions across the PBM business. This leader will own the client contracting process end-to-end for the $160 billion revenue book of business. The PBM Client Contracting Executive Director will partner with a large cross-functional team of motivated, high performing colleagues to drive operational excellence, financial plan execution, and process improvements for the PBM organization.The responsibilities of the PBM Client Contracting team are: Govern and manage the design of client contracting processes for the PBM organization as it evolves, changes, and reacts to market dynamics and the needs of our clients and their members. Take a value stream approach to client contracting, connecting client contract and financial processes end-to-end from Sales, Underwriting and Legal to our Client Implementation, Operations and Finance partners while fostering business collaboration, alignment, agility, and speed. Develop a deep understanding of business architecture and maintain a repository of blueprints including business process flows, standard operational procedures, documentation, epics (user stories), and supporting technical solutions. Continuously improve business architecture to optimize financial performance, drive new savings opportunities, strengthen controls, reduce audit risk, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve quality. Facilitate the capital planning process; focus and prioritize limited business and IT resources for greatest impact; and set annual strategic goals and follow through to deliver real and measurable results.As a senior colleague in one of the world's largest healthcare organizations, the PBM Client Contracting Executive Director will be expected to model professionalism, innovation, and initiative, while delivering strong outcomes on a consistent basis. This is a broad and challenging role which requires granular understanding of the PBM business model and technical complexities within our ecosystem.The PBM Finance Client Contracting Executive Director will report to the Vice President, PBM Finance and will: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure various stakeholders are aligned across PSS client contracting and adjacent business processes end-to-end. Gain full understanding of client contract management value stream, including upstream and downstream dependencies; work to improve processes, ensuring we are designing business processes and technology to support robust / improved processes as opposed to building technology around existing processes. Think both strategically and tactically to devise innovative solutions and guide the creative product development process to achieve improved accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in the client contracting and contract management processes. Provide strategic and tactical leadership to both the technical team and business product owners assuring well thought-out and well architected solutions that:o Achieve the best possible data quality that improve accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.o Provide required flexible and customizable processes that align with the evolving operating model and current/future integrations. Lead the business and technical teams and guide business product owners in prioritizing the development and deployment of enhanced processes and issue resolutions that foster organizational alignment, agility, and speed. Provide decision support around systems and vendors; monitor progress of project activity; and partner effectively with IT to ensure systems are aligned to business needs. Proactively identify risks involved with achieving objectives and deploy plans to mitigate them Develop, track, and report appropriate metrics to provide a view into cost, quality, and time components Develop materials to help "tell the story" around client contracting, detailing out objectives, approach, wins, etc. Keep PBM Leadership team apprised of status, risks, and successes through periodic status updatesRequired Qualifications 15+ years of experience in Finance, Operations or IT Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a large corporate environment Existing subject matter expertise with Finance, Accounting, Claims Adjudication Systems, Pharmacy Networks, etc. Knowledge of financial or accounting principles such as GAAP, FP&A, A/R management, revenue cycle, etc. Proficiency with standard analysis tools such as Access, Excel, Visio, and project management tools such as MS ProjectCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
