Job Description1. Responsible for having a complete knowledge of all purchasing/inventory software and applications as well as be able to administer training in these software applications. Prepare and generate daily, weekly, and monthly transaction registers in order to effectively audit any transactions that occur in the system. Review and evaluate processes as needed to increase or maintain efficiencies. Complete knowledge of monthly metrics requirements and scorecard dleiverables. 15%2. Provide individual and department training, coaching, counseling, and motivation. Hold regular meetings to encourage suggestions for process improvements and to provide necessary information and any process or procedure changes. Mentor and motivate staff by providing an enjoyable working environment that encourages teamwork with excellent internal and external customer service. Counsel and administer disciplinary action in accordance to department and Human Resource policies and procedures when necessary. Complete annual written reviews on individuals and provide ongoing performance updates throughout the year. 50%3. Follow Best Practices for Effective Inventory Management. Monitor the inventory levels and utilization for all items and make any necessary adjustments to the reorder points as needed. Weed out slow moving inventory and over stocked items. Communication of drug shortages, recalls, back orders, discontinued items, and out of stocks to the Pharmacy Management team and white label clients. Ensure all of daily departmental checklists are completed and uploaded to sharepoint. 15%4. Ensure the department completes all necessary work by the end of the day which includes that all purchase order receipts are received each day must be "received" and put away in the system and into their assigned locations. Monitor Dashboards and exception queues on a daily basis to ensure all work is being completed timely. Understand all Wholesale functions for the Wholesale business. Have a complete knowledge of VAWD'S criteria for accreditation as well as leading the efforts for the renewal process and survey. 10% Have a Complete knowledge and understanding of the key tasks performed by the Centralized Returns and SPAR team. 10%Please note this roles hour operate on a rotating shift per week. One week 6:00am to 2:30pm and then the next week 10:30am to 7:00pm.Required QualificationsExperience: One year leadership experience leading a team One year prior experience in purchasing / inventory control in a healthcare or pharmacy environment.
