For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.OUR IMPACTGSAM is seeking to add a highly motivated professional to the Request for Proposal team, who will focus on the management and delivery of Request for Proposals (“RFPs”) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (“DDQs”) from prospective as well as existing clients. In this role, you will work closely with professionals across GSAM’s Client Portfolio Management teams (Fixed Income, Quantitative Investment Strategies and Fundamental Equity), multiple sales channels, and the centralized RFP Services team to ensure that all Client deliverables are met to the highest standards and within the timeframes agreed.GSAM has become one of the pre-eminent investment management organizations globally, with responsibility for over (USD)1.15tn in assets under supervision. Critical to the success of GSAM is our ability to leverage a global team of talented professionals in order to define solutions and lead change across the operational infrastructure. GSAM Operations is part of the Federation division of Goldman Sachs and comprises of ~500 professionals based in 5 centers across the globe. It consists of three broad functional areas, Client Management, Trade Management, and Position and Data Control, all of which work in a dynamic environment where control, client service and excellence in execution are fundamental principles.HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure high quality RFPs and DDQs are delivered to our prospective clients, consultants, and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner Develop a strong understanding of our Asset Management business, and the investment product’s on offer Develop strong working relationships with Client Portfolio Manage teams, Sales teams, Client Relationship Managers, and internal Federation teams Develop knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape and investment team’s capabilities to facilitate improved client experience Apply a Roles and Responsibilities framework to delegate work items, and liaise with action owners to ensure their completion Assist in developing metrics to track key sales figures including RFP flows, success rates, etc. Assist with ad hoc projects including technology initiatives to uplift our infrastructureSkills:6-8 years of professional experience within Financial Services, ideally Asset ManagementBachelor's degree requiredBe a strategic thinker, possesses strong facilitation, project management and data gathering skillsAttention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure and to provide practical solutionsRisk management focusPossess a strong commercial mind-setStrong negotiating skillsExperience working with RFPs is a plusBe highly collaborative, team-oriented and strong consensus builderDemonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills both written and oralDemonstrate ability to partner across product groups, regions and functional responsibilities, and be very client focusedProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPointABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
