YOUR IMPACTWe are seeking a Vice President to help in the marketing and education of Alternative Investment solutions to the Consumer and Wealth Management advisor and client ecosystem. OUR IMPACT Alternative Capital Markets (ACM)Alternative Capital Markets is a global team with 35+ alternative investment professionals across six offices (New York, Albany, London, Zurich, Hong Kong and Shenzhen), responsible for over $75B in AUS, serving institutions, foundations, family offices, high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals. ACM is the architect of the CWM alternatives platform including private equity, growth / venture capital, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds, co-investments and impact private investing including GS proprietary investment opportunities in the GS Asset Management Division (AMD) and unique, best-in-class open architecture alternatives from external partners. ACM is focused on implementation advice, sourcing, structuring, capital markets, client coverage and investor relations across global CWM alternative investment portfolios. We are seeking a Vice President to join our team to focus on the client coverage aspect of the business. Consumer and Wealth Management (CWM)Across Consumer and Wealth Management (CWM), Goldman Sachs helps empower clients and customers around the world reach their financial goals. Our advisor-led wealth management businesses provide financial planning, investment management, banking and comprehensive advice to a wide range of clients, including ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals, as well as family offices, foundations and endowments, and corporations and their employees. Our consumer business provides digital solutions for consumers to better spend, borrow, invest, and save. Across CWM, our growth is driven by a relentless focus on our people, our clients and leading-edge technology, data and design.HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL Help establish and manage GS ACM relationships with external managers including new product development and coordination of external sales professionals, as well as source and originate new alternative investment offerings to meet client demand and address current market opportunitiesServe as an alternative investment strategist, helping establish GS CWM house view on current private market trends / opportunities and providing insight to clients and internal GS constituents Help provide input on ACM sales strategy across client segments, advising on growth strategies for new offerings / solutions, and develop segment specific fund-raisingstrategiesHelp lead marketing of alternative investment offerings across GS client segments and regions including managing overall fund raising activity, developing marketing collateral / strategy pitch and engaging advisors / clients by organizing road shows / events / campaignsLead client portfolio reviews, including alternative portfolio analysis / implementation guidance, as well as provide performance attribution and fund commentaryHelp drive education of alternative investment themes and portfolio implementation for all GS client segments and regions by coordinating across ACM, GS CIO, GS investment teams and external managers to provide best-in-class thought leadershipSKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FORBachelor's Degree RequiredDeep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments 5+ years experience in asset management, private equity or hedge fundsPrior experience in sales of alternative investment products, either at another private bank or to private banking clients preferred Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skillsTeam player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSophisticated and tactful client manager who can effectively manage the entire investor lifecycleStrong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlinesSelf-starter, with ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group functionsSolid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detailABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
