As we build a leading digital consumer bank and expand into new products and partnerships, we are looking for leaders and individual contributors to join our team.We are seeking an Associate of Financial Planning & Analysis for our Lending product suite within Goldman’s Consumer business. Our Lending product suite currently consists of our Marcus Personal Loans, Marcus Pay/Point of Sale Financing, and Small Business Financing. This role will partner directly with the Lending leadership team and their organization on all aspects of financial management. The candidate should be intellectually curious, energetic, and a “go-getter” who will roll up their sleeves across the business in helping to co-create and drive the financial strategy of each Lending product. The candidate should have a strong command of financial analytics and prior experience in pro forma financial modeling is a must. Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, collaborative partnership orientation, and creating financial structure out of ambiguity/complexity (e.g. business cases) are additional characteristics of a successful candidate. Our team is agile in supporting and working cross-functionally in supporting a dynamic growth business, and we are looking for candidates who enjoy and will thrive in a fast-paced working environment. This role offers excellent exposure to senior leadership as the finance lead in driving Lending business/product/financial strategy and will report into the Vice President of Lending FP&A.ResponsibilitiesPartner strategically with the Lending business leadership team in all areas of financial management through preparation, consolidation, review and analysis of a number of key financial activities including but not limited to: monthly results, budgeting/forecasting, stress-testing/CCAR, expense management, management updates, quarterly earningsOwn and enhance the financial modeling, tools, and processes for submitting annual multi-year budgets and forecasts working with the business and other functional teams (e.g. Acquisitions, Risk, Central Finance, Delivery)Drive end-to-end P&L ownership of all major drivers in partnership with cross-functional teams (originations, prepayments, vendor expense, credit, marketing spend, etc)Create robust, organized, and detailed financial models with scenario analytics that strategically advise on key business strategy decisions for both existing and new products Drive Finance transformation and simplification of existing processes, tools, and models - can involve uplifting, rebuilding, automation Establish and foster strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholdersLead ad-hoc analytics and projects as requestedQualifications4+ years’ experience specific to finance / planning / modeling / analytics role in consumer lending, banking or financial servicesBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
