Goldman Sachs is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Publishing & Marketing platform team known as GS Publishing. We are providing a platform for content producers to reach the wider GS customer and can’t simply prioritize one group over another, we need a PM that can find the right balance.Your ImpactThe GS Publishing Platform is Goldman Sachs’ strategic platform for digital content publishing and marketing. The ideal candidate is someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, passion for understanding client needs and building great products for them. In this role you will engage with key stakeholders across businesses, clients, engineering, design and marketing teams across various divisions at Goldman Sachs to develop, prioritize and build the roadmap for the GS Publishing Platform.Our #1 business principle is 'Our clients' interests always come first. We are responsible for guiding products throughout all stages of the product's lifecycle, including research, pitching, scoping, delivering, promoting, and tailoring solutions to our clients.How will you fulfill your potential?You will be an experienced and seasoned product manager, working cross-functionally to guide products from conception through launch, growth and maturity by connecting the technical and business worlds to meet our customers at their needs. You will break down complex problems into steps that drive product development and release adopting the principals of growth from MVP.As the Senior Product Manager for the GS Publishing Platform you will:Play a critical role in understanding how content is created and leveraged to deliver One Goldman Sachs to our clientsWork with business unit’s, engineering teams from across the firm and the platform governance committee to prioritize feature enhancements for the platformAct as a subject matter expert and provide thought leadership on the development of content related initiatives at GSDefine the product vision, roadmap and growth goals for the platformStay on top of industry trends and leverage this to drive the roadmapAnalyze quantitative and qualitative customer feedback and KPIs to inform product strategy and pipeline developmentPrioritize initiatives and features using domain expertise, customer insights, and market research to make informed trade-offs between new feature development, platform investment, and optimizationsScope product releases (MVPs) to deliver value early and validate business hypotheses with the least amount of effortLead governance meetings, white-boarding, design think workshops, etc… as requiredInfluence senior leaders’ decision making and investmentCoach junior product managersABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSENGINEERING - At Goldman Sachs, our Engineers don’t just make things - we make things possible. Create new businesses, transform finance, and explore a world of opportunity at the speed of markets.Basic qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience building/shipping technical products5-7 years of experience working as a Product Manager in digital content/media for a large news organization; plus for one that has an API strategyDemonstrated success defining and launching excellent productsDemonstrated ability to communicate complex problems and technical architectures to all stakeholdersDemonstrated success collaborating with design and engineering peers to lead a product development teamAbility to understand and articulate customer needs and turn requirements into actionable solutionsPreferred qualifications:Blend of both strategic and tactical thinking - someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, thus aligning long term vision with iterative executionExperience managing day-to-day technical and design directionKnowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, user experience, user research, sales, trading, treasury, customer support or marketingProven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authorityYou are a thoughtful partner to our internal and external users - understanding their business and influencing their processes© The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., 2021.
