Our growing Manufacturing Infrastructure Services (MIS) team is actively interviewing for current and upcoming projects. Our Electrical Designer role provides you the opportunity to design the latest state-of-the-art facilities in a wide variety of markets such as industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, real estate, solid waste, power, and public sector. We are seeking self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills and a passion to apply your professional experience and knowledge in a team environment. You should be a detail-oriented professional, understand the importance of meeting personal and team commitments, and be flexible in adapting to a fast-paced environment. We are seeking candidates with a technical associate degree or high school diploma with related experience. Candidates must have proficiency with computerized design tools including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with electrical engineer to develop electrical equipment layout, single line, embedded conduit, cable tray, heat trace, interconnecting wiring, lighting and grounding drawingsEvaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and coordinating design criteria with other disciplinesDevelop conduit and cable schedules and material take-offsProvide quality oversight for electrical designs performed by othersWhen required, be the main point of contact for the electrical discipline when meeting with the project manager, other discipline leads, and the customerTrain and mentor less experienced designersGenerate electrical hour estimates to complete ongoing work and for new proposals4+ years’ experience working on industrial and manufacturing type projectsDemonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and RevitAbility to work with engineers and senior designers to design electrical distribution systems at low and medium voltagesProficient using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, and ExcelPossess excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to perform field/site visitsAbility to travel (estimated travel time is 10%)Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of Navisworks and Bluebeam2+ years experience working with RevitPossess an understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Experience working with electrical design softwareCivil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.
