Our core values include Passion, Authenticity, and the Desire to Make a Difference.This position is only available to LCCC students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for the Fall 2018 semester.Job Summary:Core responsibilities of this position include: The Student Assistant position for LCCC is a part-time, non-benefited, student position that requires current enrollment at LCCC. Students that are Federal Work Study eligible are encouraged to apply. (Students may speak with the LCCC Student Hub and Financial Aid to determine if they are Federal Work Study eligible.) This position is responsible for assisting the department with routine tasks that support the day-to-day operations of the department. These tasks may include but are not limited to clerical work such as filing, scanning, sorting, copying and delivering paperwork; assisting in preparing office materials; answering phones; providing general customer service; supporting special projects; and overall assisting the operational functions of the department. For the Diesel Program, Student Assistant work also includes working around and with industrial equipment; helping clean work areas and equipment; preparing materials; and overall assisting with the program needs as directed by supervising faculty. Proper protective equipment and safety standards must be utilized at all times in this work area. Individuals in this position are expected to represent the Department and LCCC in a professional manner.LCCC in its strategic plan has identified important Core Values and Aspirational Values, which are inherent in the cultural fabric of the College.
