The Risk Division aims to effectively identify, monitor, evaluate, and manage the firm’s financial and non-financial risks in support of the firm’s Risk Appetite Statement and the firm’s strategic plan. Operating in a fast paced and dynamic environment and utilizing best in class risk tools and frameworks, Risk teams are analytically curious, have an aptitude to challenge, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.The Enterprise Risk Management team is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s risks are managed systemically, such that the firm has a regular, comprehensive view of its risk profile as well as of key trends and emerging risks that could potentially affect the firm’s overall risk profile.The team ensures that Risk & Divisional leadership is consistently informed on the holistic risk profile, inclusive of financial and non-financial risks, in a way that facilitates strategic planning and risk decision making. ERM interfaces with a wide array of businesses and risk management groups across the Firm. The cross-disciplinary nature of the projects that the ERM team engages in makes for a rewarding and multifaceted work environment.Key responsibilities:Engage with the design and execution of Firmwide stress testing, including scenario design, impact analysis, capital and earnings implications.This includes Federal Stress Testing (CCAR) as well as ad-hoc scenario analysis responsive to changing market and economic conditions.Leverage stress testing results to inform Firmwide business planning decisions and develop management actions to mitigate potential losses with senior leadership.Support, analyze and manage the relationship between business plan and the amount of appropriate risk taking, limits and capital.Contribute to the further development of the stress testing framework used to set risk limits, inform business planning and perform risk management at the Firmwide level.Experience/skills required:Familiarity with economics and current events.Knowledge of markets, portfolio analytics or risk metrics across asset classes and risk types.Understanding of firm structure, divisional businesses, balance sheet, capital and risk is a plus.Experience with basic statistics and presentation, such as historic analysis in Excel and PPT.Basic programming experience for data retrieval, reporting and analysis (Python, Tableau etc).Comfort and poise to effectively and respectfully manage critical Firmwide initiatives.High level of attention to detail, project management, and prioritization skills.Class leading written and verbal communication skills.ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
