The organization will consist of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, Content and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. They do this by:Driving the full lifecycle of content for the firm, including strategy and planning, publishing, distribution, analytics, measurement and technologyDeveloping improved governance to ensure content is built for purpose, and can be leveraged across our full array of audiences and channelsIncubating new content formats and products while seeking new ways to reach and engage different audiencesCollaborating with content creators and editors-in-chief across the firm, uniting our commitment to innovation and experimentation in one of our greatest assets, our thought leadership and insightsRole Summary:The Vice President, Content Producer (Video) will play a key role in developing firm-wide video content that supports Goldman Sachs’ thought leadership and targets key audiences to drive engagement and commercial outcomes. This individual will be tasked with writing and producing master-brand video content and short-form social content, working alongside the divisions to align with video series across the firm. The ideal candidate will be an expert storyteller; someone with a passion for complex ideas and the confidence to use smart brevity to make them simple; and someone with an understanding of finance, markets and critical issues impacting the global economy. They will report to the Vice President, Managing Editor.Position Responsibilities:Manage content creation and production for the firm’s existing and to-be-developed video series Draft, edit and produce new video stories and seriesGenerate new ideas on content creation, formats and video execution with an eye to reaching target audiences and driving commercial outcomesWork with stakeholders across the firm to conduct original Q&As and features with Goldman Sachs experts Create content related to Goldman Sachs insights driving markets, industries and the global economy, for distribution in the form of videos and across social channelsDraft social copy for content and manage other elements related to distribution of content across digital and social channels.Ability to translate complex ideas and maintain a standard of smart brevityAbility to work within a culture of performance, tying measurement analytics to content creationPosition Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in journalism or communications.Strong writing and editing skills; experience in video is required.Sound editorial judgement, specific to markets and finance as well as general editorial needs. Experience optimizing content for social distribution: Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.Experience with brand marketing teams and an understanding of messaging, campaign development, paid/owned distribution, and marketing analytics.Strong project manager who is highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfort and ability to present complex material.Collaborative work approach and ability to work well across a dynamic global team.At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
