As such, Goldman Sachs is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, Content, and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to be a demonstrable force multiplier for the businesses we serveWithin Global Marketing sits the Content group, which is charged with representing Goldman Sachs to the public. They do this by:Driving the full lifecycle of content for the firm, including strategy and planning, publishing, distribution, analytics, measurement and technologyDeveloping improved governance to ensure content is built for purpose, and can be leveraged across our full array of audiences and channelsIncubating new content formats and products while seeking new ways to reach and engage different audiencesCollaborating with content creators and editors-in-chief across the firm, uniting our commitment to innovation and experimentation in one of our greatest assets, our thought leadership and insightsRole Summary:The Vice President, Managing Editor will play a key role managing daily operations of the Content team, ensuring seamless and timely execution of all content production. As a collaborator across the firm-wide content and marketing organization, the Managing Editor will oversee the editorial and production calendar across multiple teams and establishing best practices and processes for timely and effective execution. This is a highly visible, first-ever role and the best candidate will bring a comprehensive understanding of content strategy, publishing processes, and performance measurement against defined outcomes and KPIs. They will report to the Global Editor in Chief.Position Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the Content Team (editorial, studio/design, distribution and analytics) to assure timely, coordinated execution of all content production Manage firm-wide editorial and production calendars, including all shows, series, and internal creative services work for key stakeholders across the firmWork as a liaison across the Global Marketing team and Executive Office to align on content priorities and seamless execution of priority projectsServe as liaison between the Executive Office, divisional teams, and external agency partners to coordinate content brief and pitchesManaging editorial/content team staffing and resourcing, including freelance and contingent partnersPosition Qualifications:Minimum of 7+ years of experience in media, content, or communicationsA passion for and broad knowledge of media and content creation, with an understanding of digital tools and systems including social mediaManagement experience leading a team of high-performersConfidence in your ability as an exceptionally organized, even-keeled multi-taskerComfort setting and enforcing deadlines Lifelong learner comfortable with a fast-paced, quickly changing environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfort working with senior leadership across a dynamic, global organizationAbility to work well under pressure; able to manage and execute effectively on multiple, time-sensitive projects, with keen sense of urgencyABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
