Think Axis!Axis Communications is looking for a Financial Controls & Business Compliance Specialist to drive internal control and financial statement audits in the US and Canada. The position plays an important role supporting the company's fast growth and will also work with external consultants on insurances, taxes and corporate compliance.Who is your future team?This person will report to the Regional Controller and work alongside the teams responsible for Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis.What you'll do here as Financial Controls & Business Compliance Specialist?Lead financial and internal control audits (Internal Audit and external audit teams)Manage and follow-up on audit requests and findingsEnsure proper maintenance and documentation of internal controlsAssist in gathering audit documentation from financial systemsDrive business compliance including completing business registrations and filings as needed for various States and agenciesManage the process for business insurances including annual renewals, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and ad-hoc insurance requestsResponsible for Federal and State Income taxes working with outside tax firmAddress and resolve any tax notices, inquiries and auditsComplete Sales and Use tax filings for various StatesProactively identify key focus areas and recommend strategic solutions to drive continuous improvement across all areas of responsibilityWho are we looking for/Who are you?Self-motivated and energetic with a positive approach to problem solvingStrong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues / peers, audit teams, and consultants / advisorsCollaborative spirit, responsive and results drivenHighly organized and ability to manage competing deadlinesStrong attention to detailAdaptable and resilient under pressureAbility to handle sensitive financial and compliance information with confidentialityWe'd love to hear that you have/are:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of relevant experience and knowledge of internal controls, taxes and corporate insurancesExperience with Accounting software (ERP)Preferred industry experience: Information Technology, High-Tech, Bio-Tech, Pharma, Financial/BankingPhysical Demands and Travel:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Employee is occasionally required to lift 20-25 lbsTravel up to 10% annuallyPay range:The approximate pay range for this location and position is $82-92K OTE. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
