Skin Integrity Nurse

This position has the responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of wound care, and would provide direct patient care and education to assigned patients.Location: Brunswick, GAThe Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):· Develop and ensure the wound care plan specific for each patient in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team· Provide wound care as per protocol and assess bandage integrity during the times between dressing changesStocking the treatment cart on an as-needed basis to ensure all supplies that are needed are availableAssess and measure all wounds weekly and complete proper documentationCommunicate with the attending physician the pertinent information to the individual resident needs and/or changes in wound statusWill educate staff in individual and group settings regarding skin and wound careTimely and accurate documentationProvide hands-on wound care for all difficult and non-healing woundsAs a Skin Integrity Nurse, you must be able to deliver superior quality in all that you do.
