The ADON supports the overall operation of the facility, assuring adherence to company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations, in order to promote the highest quality care for our residents and patients.Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):Meet the nursing medical needs of all residentsResponsible for coordinating infection controlResponsible for educating the staffAssist with compliance and ensure effective communication withal levels of nursing staff24 hours on callCoordinate and direct the total planning for nursing servicesMaintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practiceResponsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical recordsAssist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staffOversee daily staffing processMaintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needsRequirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):Must be currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN). Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.Must have strong leadership skills and be able to lead a team of nursing staff, as well as help foster a team atmosphere with the nursing divisionLiaisons with residents, families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for resident needsMust have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the facilityIND123
