*About us:**Expedite Healthcare has an extensive background in Healthcare outsourcing, professional services, and staffing.**We offer the expertise of a global company combined with "˜one to one' customized service of a local business partner.**We are specialized in identifying Allied professionals like:** *CMA, Certified Medical assistant.** *Medical Assistant etc.**Job Title: Medical Assistant**Location: Marina del Rey, CA**Duration: 13 weeks**Shift: Day 5x8-Hour 8 hours between (0800-1800)**Job Duties:** Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record.* Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data.* Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice.* Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs.* Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines.* Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider.* Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider.*Required Qualifications:** Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.* Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans* Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries* 2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting* Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture* Experience with CS-Link/Epic*Preferred Qualifications:** 2+ years working as a MA in Internal Medicine* Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions* Phlebotomy certification* Understanding of medical terminologyJob Type: ContractPay: $26.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekSchedule:* 5x8* 8 hour shift* Day shiftExperience:* MA in Outpatient Clinic: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:* Certified Medical Assistant (Required)Work Location: In person
