Introduction to the jobAs a Senior Manager of Contracts you will be an owner and driver of contract management and operations for the Cymer Light source business line. The position will be part of the Cymer Install Base Operations organization that is enabling the management of contracts, systems and processes to maximize sales and service revenue while managing business risk. You will need to engage with internal and external customers, capture their needs during negotiations, analyze business cases, and communicate internal/external stakeholders secure commercial agreements that address and balance Cymer business goals and customer needs. This position will be based in San Diego, California.Role and responsibilitiesContract Management: Lead the drafting, review, interpretation, negotiation, and execution of all global customer sales and service, license and technology evaluation agreements for Cymer Light Source business division in alignment with business goals and regulations. Manage team that is responsible for administration of contracts and systems.Operational Excellence: Develop, implement, and enhance contract and operational processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and risk mitigation. Lead the continuous improvement and innovation of the contract operations function through problem-solving, strategic planning, project management, process and systems improvement, and financial management.System and Pricing Management: In collaboration with other key stakeholders implement, customize, and optimize ERP and contract lifecycle management (CLM) and pricing systems and other tools and applications to enhance visibility, efficiency, and reporting capabilities. Support contract and pricing tracking, reporting, approvals, and renewal management within the ERP and contract management systems.Research and Analysis: Reviews research, analysis, and interpretation of contracts across teams to evaluate and leverage insights that best support the business based on advanced knowledge of contract and commercial principles.Project Oversight: Reviews assigned projects and determines the level of analyses and associated work that needs to be conducted in order to address deadlines and assigns projects throughout the team accordingly.Training & Support: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on contract management, contracting best practices, regulations, and related policies. Guides team to clearly communicate corporate policies and positions related to contracts with critical internal and external parties based on expertise in area.Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and management teams, facilitating communication and ensuring both parties are aligned on contract terms and conditions. Coordinate with the Legal, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Install Base Service teams to obtain approvals and identify and document risk levels and preferred contract terms. Leads sound, ethical, and timely decision making within team; guides and holds others accountable for making effective decisions.Education and experienceBachelor's degree required, plus a Juris Doctor or Master's Business degree required.Minimum of 10 years Contract Management experience with global, complex, strategic initiatives/ corporate environment required.Sales and Service contract experience preferred. Management consulting background preferred.3+ years of people management experience required.Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Expert Proficiency Required; CLM (Contract Lifecycle Mgmt.) PreferredSkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read, draft, negotiate and interpret complex contracts, data, information, and documents.Must be able to quickly responds to urgent matters and offer solutions to complex bottlenecks and drive improvements.Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism.Proven ability to perform effectively in a complex and demanding environment with changing priorities and workloads.Result driven-demonstrates ownership and accountability.Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.Ability to influence decision making with key stakeholders and customers and the adoption of new and improved processes and negotiation outcomes.Leads sound, ethical, and timely decision making within team; guides and holds others accountable for making effective decisions.Other informationThis is a hybrid position working 3 days/week on-site in San Diego, California. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, training courses and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration, and innovation.The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:$129,000-215,000Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
