Introduction to the jobUse data and analytics to gain insights influencing business leaders with business intelligence and storytelling to make data-driven decisions. Under direction of the US people analytics leader, consult with stakeholders to draw connections and translate data into actionable information integrating external data sources when available. To achieve this, you will be using your unique mix of data management, consulting, analytical, and creative communication to translate insights into stories that can solve business challenges.Role and responsibilitiesEngage with requestors to scope the analysis required and the mode of data delivery.Coordinate collection and compilation of HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS), payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, government labor statistics, competitors practices, and other sources.Generate insights using different analytical approaches (e.g., trend, regression, etc.) to tell the story using data. In other words, translate data into actionable information.Create compelling presentations and visualizations based on data.Analyze data leveraging statistics to identify trends and patterns in disparate data sets including recruitment, hiring practices, turnover and other HR or business functions.Participate in presentations to learn various aspect of ASML operations.Collaborate with ASML's People Analytics Team on the analysis method and tools for specific projects.Utilize tools such as Power BI, Excel and / or Spotfire.Document and present findings in an end of summer presentation to the group about what they achieved during their internship.Education and experienceStudying towards a Master's / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business / Data Analytics, Data Science or equivalent technical domain. At least 2 years of college education completed.Requires technical and analytical skills, knowledge and abilities.Solid communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.Skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, relational databases and data management tools.Ability to develop visualizations, and work with a variety of analytic products or dashboards.Ability to work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and internal customers.Work within procedures and provided timelines.Ability to handle highly confidential data.Familiarity with Workday.Other informationThis role can be based in San Jose, CA, San Diego, CA or Chandler, AZDiversity and inclusionASML is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and respects the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
