*Maryville Addiction Treatment Center *Maryville Addiction Treatment Center has a staff of dedicated professionals who devote themselves each day to helping people suffering from an addictive disease reclaim their lives. For over 70 years, our commitment to service excellence is reflected in the high client satisfaction rating we receive, an honor we attribute to the compassion, commitment and quality of our staff.*Basic Function *Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are responsible for providing the follow-up nursing assessment of clients during treatment. These individuals provide administration of medications and record this activity in the appropriate medical chart. LPNs are responsible for arranging the necessary visits withHealth Care Providers, ensuring there are adequate medical/office supplies, and securing necessary medical records on all clients. LPNs are responsible for obtaining laboratory specimens as directed by the registered nurses (RNs) on duty.*Essential Function*:1. Collaborates and reports directly to the registered nurse on duty for daily assignments and report any changes in client's behavior and/or vital signs to the RNs on duty.2. Performs follow-up nursing assessment for residents and obtain laboratory specimens.3. Arranges appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers as well as required additional health screenings and supplemental tests.4. Administers medications, as well as supervises self-administered medications, where appropriate and allowed by regulation.5. Maintains adequate inventory of medical/office supplies in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy.6. Ensures proper storage of supplies as required by regulation.7. Provides education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance under the supervision of the RNs on duty.8. Other related duties as assigned by the Medical Director, Director of Nursing or Executive Director.*Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities *- Knowledge of health care issues pertaining to substance use disorders, including but not limited to mental health needs, women's health issues, HIV/AIDs, and other communicable diseases.- Knowledge of correct record keeping in accordance with regulatory agencies and standards of practice.- Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements and practices for adults.- Knowledge of safe standards of nursing practice.- Ability to work with clients to gain confidence and cooperation while maintaining therapeutic boundaries.- Knowledge of therapeutic communication techniques for the population we serve.- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work while maintaining appropriate, accurate records, and reports.- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, healthcare providers, outside agencies, institutions and the general public.*Minimum Requirements*Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Current LPN license in good standing in New Jersey.Experience: May be recent graduate of approved nursing school, up to one (1) year experience.Sobriety: If recovering, two (2) years of sobriety.Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hourMedical Specialty:* Addiction MedicineApplication Question(s):* You may be asked to cover shifts at our Williamstown location depending on call outs.
