Inter-Agency Insurance, has an opening for a commercial lines account manager. Our agency has an immediate opening and is looking for a full time account manager/csr with at least 2 years experience in commercial insurance. Account manager/csr will handle all day to day activities of client service in conjunction with account producer.Partner XE agency management experience is a plus.Salary based on experience, excellent benefits available.*Job Description - Commercial Lines Account Manager**DESCRIPTION*: Account Manager is responsible for assisting Producers in the day-to-day handling of account(s) to maintain client relationships with strong emphasis on service and account retention with industry related clients.*DUTIES*Essential Functions:Manages the renewal process by facilitating communication between the client, Account Managers, Producers and partner carriers; this includes but is not limited to updating applications, maintaining spreadsheets.Facilitates the Marketing process and coordinates communication to all parties.Maintains strong client relationships with ability to problem solve.Informs and educates clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures while documenting electronic files appropriately.Prepares proposals, applications, submits to the insured and/or carrier as needed, obtains client signatures, and follows up to ensure timely responses, all in conjunction with Producers, Account Managers, and Marketing Representatives.Responds to client needs by producing binders, certificates, policies and other related items accurately and on time.Actively engaged in client risk management and claim processes, facilitates communication and meetings between carrier, client and Agency personnel.Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals.Verifies accuracy of processed endorsements and takes corrective action when necessary.Explains audit procedures to clients and reviews interim reports for credibility and coverage adequacy.Orders policies, and prepares policy books for delivery to clients.Maintain accurate and current electronic files.Seek referrals from current client base to solicit for new business prospectsKnowledgeable of underwriting and rating procedures for all types of related property and casualty, life and health products and associated companies.Compliance with applicable laws; strong risk management skills including claims; stays abreast of changes in coverage; file documentation and performance of responsibilities with clients and others in a manner that avoids potential errors and omissions.Other duties requested by the Producer and/or in accordance with Inter-Agency practices which are related to the successful retention and maintenance of client relationships.*QUALIFICATIONS*Skills and Experience:High school equivalency; college degree and related business work experience a plus2 years of commercial lines account manager insurance work experienceWorking knowledge of commercial insurance industry and current applicable license preferredStrong client relationships with ability to problem solve and document follow upRequired licenses or ability to obtain licenses as required by State Department of Insurance; ability to participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses to stay abreast of developments in the insurance industryComputer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)Self-starter, ability to work well independently yet function as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent customer service and organizational skills*Physical and Environmental Demands:*Job located in a professional office environment - routinely uses standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, manuals, filing cabinets and fax machines, etc.)Standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching; occasional lifting/carrying (15 pounds or less)Moderate stress levelProlonged activities: sitting, use of the telephone, speaking, work on a PC/computerAbility to travel periodically to attend conferences, seminars to maintain licenses through continuing education.Note - the information contained in this job description has been prepared to indicate the general nature of work performed by an employee within this classification.
