Senior Internal Auditor

First National Bank of America is seeking a highly organized Senior Auditor to join the internal audit team. The Senior Internal Auditor is a crucial member in the Bank's effort to identify and communicate risks affecting the organization. First National believes that three talents make great auditors. First, they must have a natural curiosity that drives them to understand the details about whichever process they are assessing. This means they must be excellent listeners and great questioners. Secondly, they must not lose sight of key principles or the larger picture despite those details. Lastly, the auditor must be able to distinguish actual risk from what may be perceived. The willingness and ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization is necessary in this position. If these are talents of yours, regardless of your background, you will be successful at FNBA in this role.ResponsibilitiesSupervision of audit projects including planning, data collection, interviewing, completion and review of workpapers, and report writingProvide guidance and training to staff with less experienceFacilitate testing of financial statement controls and compliance with FDICIA requirementsCommunicates audit results to various stakeholders as necessaryEnsure follow up reviews on audit report findings are completedEngage in continuous knowledge development regarding Internal Audit and BankingQualifications:3+ years' experience that aligns with the job responsibilities will be considered, examples of which may include:Prior experience in internal or external auditingExperience managing projects from start to finishInternal control development, review, or testingExperience preparing and reviewing financial statementsAbility to work proficiently with Microsoft Office and databasesStrong relationship building skillsPrior experience in Financial Services is a plusEmployee benefitsMedical - Multiple plans to choose from including HSA and traditional.
