Under the direct supervision of the PAT Manager and in conjunction with the Director, you will:Conduct verbal assessments with patients prior to admission via phone interviews.Collect and review patients' medical histories.Coordinate closely with the anesthesia department to address patients' needs.Key Responsibilities:Practice effective telephone and patient triage skills.Perform verbal assessments and communicate findings to the appropriate team members.Ensure pre-operative care requirements are met through thorough assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Utilize EMR and phone systems to review and analyze patient responses.Provide patient education and teaching as established by the department.Maintain and promote patient safety by assessing physical and psychological needs.Respond to telephone inquiries and perform outbound follow-up calls.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.Provide pre-operative instructions and emotional support to patients and their families.Complete patient charting accurately and promptly.Participate in quality improvement activities.Job RequirementsGraduate from an accredited school of nursingCurrent registered nurse licensure in state of VirginiaBasic Life Support (BLS) CertificationAt least 2 years' work experience in OR, PACU, ASC, ED, ICU preferredThis organization participates in E-Verify.
