Description:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care as part of Unity's dedicated healthcare team. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, the LPN provides direct patient care, supports the development and execution of care plans, and performs delegated nursing tasks to ensure the highest quality of service.Schedule: 36 hours per week, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, including every other weekend and two holidays per year.This position will primarily be based at our Meng Residence but will also provide support in the community as needed, assisting patients in facilities or their homes. As a float position, the schedule may vary between 32-36 hours per week to meet patient care needs.Key Job Duties:Provide basic nursing careRecord nursing care given and report to the appropriate team member changes in the condition of a patientAssist with the development and revision of a nursing care planReinforce the teaching provided by a registered nurse and provide basic health care instructionPerform delegated nursing acts beyond basic nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered nurseMonitor IV fluids on controlled infusion pumps as directed by a registered nurseMaintain level of competency in required areasComply with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of UnitySatisfy mandatory training requirements regarding local, state and federal regulations and/or Unity's policies and proceduresConsistently and concisely document activity according to department protocols and standardsPromote and maintain confidentialityMaintain personal and professional boundariesPerform other job-related duties as assignedMaintain regular and reliable attendanceShares in providing seven days-a-week coverageWhy Unity?
