Job PurposeAssemblers/Mechanics use electrical and mechanical knowledge and skills to assemble locomotive parts and components. For more information, visit and follow @Progress_Rail on Twitter and YouTube.Key Job Elements• Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with Progress Rail safety policies;• Inspect, maintain, trouble shoot, diagnose and rebuild locomotive motors and wheel sets;• Measuring with micrometers and other precision tools;• Operate Overhead Cranes and forklifts;• Consistently complete production related documents legibly without error;• Follow Quality Work Instructions and work as a valued team member with others;• Work as a valued team member.Education / Training• High school diploma or equivalent required;• 1-3 years of mechanical experienced preferred.
