As a Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal you will work closely with attorneys to support *complex litigation matters*, including *proceedings before federal courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and the International Trade Commission (ITC)*. This role offers a *structured career path, a collaborative environment, and the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule"”three days in the office and two days remote*.This position is also available in our San Francisco office.*What You'll Do**Intellectual Property Litigation Support** *Case Management*: Oversee the organization, analysis, and management of case documents, including identifying privileged and confidential materials.* *Electronic Discovery Coordination*: Manage litigation document databases and coordinate *eDiscovery* processes to ensure compliance with legal standards.* *Trial & Hearing Preparation*: Assist in all aspects of trial logistics, including *preparing trial exhibits, witness files, page/line deposition summaries, and setting up trial space*.* *Court Filings*: Prepare and file pleadings in *federal courts, PTAB, and ITC*, ensuring compliance with court rules, *cite checking, proofreading, and document assembly*.* *Deposition Assistance*: Prepare *witness files, subpoenas, exhibits, and deposition summaries* to support litigation proceedings.* *Legal Research & Drafting*: Conduct factual or legal research and draft memoranda in support of case strategy.* *Team Leadership*: Coordinate and oversee the tasks of *junior paralegals and Project Assistants*, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in case preparation.*General Paralegal Responsibilities** *Document Preparation & Review*: Draft, analyze, and prepare legal documents under the supervision of attorneys.* *Legal Project Management*: Provide case-specific project management, ensuring *efficient workflow and timely completion of legal tasks*.* *Meeting & Proceeding Participation*: Attend *client meetings, coordination meetings, and court proceedings* to provide hands-on litigation support.* *Communication & Coordination*: Draft and distribute client and attorney communications with *professionalism and clarity*.* *Regulatory Compliance*: Ensure adherence to *ABA Guidelines for Paralegal Services* and maintain an active *notary license* where required.*Billing & Professional Excellence** *Time Management*: Maintain accurate records of billable and non-billable hours, meeting the following performance metrics:* *1,536 total creditable hours per evaluation year* (April 1 - March 31), with at least *1,416 client billable hours*.* *Pro bono and firm representation hours limited to 120 total hours* annually.* *Professional Development*: Stay at the forefront of *IP litigation trends* through continuing education and legal training.* *Ethical Standards*: Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold *the highest ethical standards* in all work assignments.*What You Bring**Skills That Set You Apart** *Extensive Litigation Knowledge*: Deep understanding of *patent litigation, PTAB, ITC proceedings, and eDiscovery*.* *Attention to Detail*: Exceptional ability to *analyze complex case documents and identify key litigation elements*.* *Problem-Solving & Proactivity*: Strong ability to *anticipate litigation needs and resolve challenges efficiently*.* *Leadership & Team Collaboration*: Proven ability to *mentor junior staff and support attorneys in high-stakes cases*.* *Tech-Savvy*: Proficiency in *Microsoft Office Suite, legal research databases, and case management software*.* *Strong Communication*: Excellent written and verbal skills with a *client-focused and professional approach*.*Education & Experience** *Education*: Bachelor's Degree or *Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program required*.* *Experience*: Minimum of *10 years of relevant experience* in *IP litigation, PTAB, or ITC matters*.This position offers a *balanced work environment*, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge *intellectual property litigation*.
