Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.__"”_We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client's ACT Team based in Downtown Brooklyn. This role is crucial in delivering comprehensive, community-based mental health care to individuals with serious mental illness who are involved in the criminal legal system. The ACT RN will provide medication management, health education, crisis intervention, and care coordination, ensuring clients receive the support they need to stabilize in the community and avoid incarceration or re-incarceration.*Key Responsibilities:** Provide direct nursing care in homes, shelters, community settings, and correctional facilities as needed.* Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including psychiatric and medical evaluations.* Administer and monitor psychotropic and medical medications, ensuring adherence and managing side effects.* Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and substance use specialists to address holistic health needs.* Educate clients on medication management, chronic disease prevention, harm reduction, and wellness strategies.* Respond to psychiatric and medical crises, utilizing de-escalation techniques and crisis stabilization strategies.* Conduct suicide risk assessments and harm reduction interventions for clients at high risk.* Assist clients transitioning from jail, prison, or forensic psychiatric hospitals, ensuring continuity of care.* Support clients with legal system involvement, including court-mandated treatment compliance.* Participate in daily ACT team meetings to discuss client progress and refine treatment plans.* Work alongside social workers, peer specialists, and forensic case managers to provide integrated, person-centered care.* Ensure compliance with ACT fidelity standards, HIPAA, Medicaid, and ATI program requirements.* Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).*Requirements:** Active RN license in New York State.* Experience in psychiatric, forensic, community, or correctional nursing preferred.* Strong knowledge of mental health, substance use disorders, and harm reduction.* Ability to work independently in the community, including field-based care across NYC.* Excellent crisis management, communication, and advocacy skills._"”__Atlas Search is a tri-state area recruitment agency, connecting new graduates, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians and Nurse Leaders to hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty groups, nursing homes, managed care companies, private practices, and healthcare start-ups.__If you would like to learn more about the opportunities we offer, please submit your CV for consideration here.__#IndeedHC_Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per yearMedical Specialty:* PsychiatryApplication Question(s):* What is the best phone number and email address to reach you?Experience:* ACT Team: 1 year (Preferred)* Psychiatric: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* RN License (Preferred)Work Location: In person
