It's fun to work at a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Job Summary:The Senior Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist administers processes required to support the creation, review, closing, and perfection of moderately complex to complex loan documentation and collateral for the Commercial Loan portfolio. Performs all responsibilities to ensure compliance with established goals for timeliness and accuracy.Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:Administer processes for transmittal, review, retention, and monitoring of loan documents in the commercial lending portfolio, including, but not limited to:Review and understand commercial loan terms, conditions and financial components as detailed in credit approval documents.Demonstrate an advanced level of expertise with loan documentation language and standard practices. Interact with lending and credit partners to review potential changes.Review loan file and Processor prepared Commercial Loan Checklist to ensure a complete loan file. Recognize deficiencies in documentation or other problems. Advise lending and credit partners on possible solutions.Create loan document package for each assigned loan ensuring compliance with approved terms and conditions. Loan documentation may include, but is not limited to, notes, security agreements/mortgages, guarantees, assignments, stock powers, account holds, UCC filings, subordination agreements, closing instructions and other supporting documents.Review attorney prepared loan documentation. Engage with bank attorneys, as necessary, to resolve identified issues and/or concerns.Complete the Documentation tab of the Commercial Loan Checklist to ensure accuracy of loan documents.Effectively manage a pipeline of loan assignments at various stages of the documentation process. Transmit loan closing packages to Quality Assurance team timely to ensure closing date commitments are met.Create and file UCCs as needed per credit approval.Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Bank policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Demonstrate subject matter expertise with all forms of commercial loan documentation and closing requirements.Assist the Loan Administration Team Lead and Senior Commercial Loan Processor with day-to-day activities and act as a back-up for both roles during absences.Participate in team meetings as appropriate and/or requested.Comply with all rules and regulations associated with commercial loans.Perform duties related to the Bank Secrecy Act under the guidance of the BSA Officer.Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft suite of products and Adobe.Advanced understanding of:Flood procedures and flood insuranceTitle workHazard, business personal property, builders' risk, and general liability insurance.Strong internal and external customer service focus.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Advanced organizational and time management skills.Must be self-reliant and self-directed enough to take independent action and make recommendations to loan officers and management.Ability to meet established goals through effective time management that allows handling of multiple priorities with competing deadlines throughout the workday.Education, Experience and Qualifications:High School Diploma.Associate degree, preferred.Paralegal certification preferred.Typically requires a minimum of seven to ten (7 - 10) years of loan documentation and closing experience with a focus on complex commercial real estate and commercial and industrial transactions.Advanced ability to review and analyze title documents to secure the Bank's lien position in accordance with loan approval criteria.Proactive approach to problem-solving.Advanced to assess and establish a clear understanding of corporate business structures and related by-laws and/or rules of operation.Advanced ability to review and evaluate a borrowing entity's formation documents to ensure appropriate permissions and approval authorities are in place.Outstanding customer service skills and follow through with internal and external customers.Advanced ability to communicate professionally in person, in writing, and over the telephone.Demonstrated ability to work productively and independently as well as with others to contribute to the effectiveness of the team.Detail oriented with strong organizational and mathematical skills.Advanced knowledge of Finastra LaserPro; Prior Admin experience, preferred.Prior experience with Abrigo/Sageworks software, preferred.Strong knowledge of Fiserv core products.Physical Requirements of Essential Job Functions:The associate is frequently required to sit and/or stand, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls that are typical of an office/bank environment. Lifting items weighting up to 10 pounds on a consistent basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 80% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, etc.Working Conditions:Typical office environment.Extended viewing of computer screens.Periodic travel between locations may be required.Typical work week is M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; After hours and weekend work required if business needs.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by associates assigned to this position.
