Rochester Medical Transportation (RMT) is hiring experienced wheelchair bus drivers! Evening overtime is available!* *Professional training to upgrade license available after 3 months of demonstrated satisfactory work performance.*Responsibilities:- Drive wheelchair buses to designated destinations in accordance with schedules- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle. Using proper wheelchair securement equipment and process.- Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle- Communicate effectively with passengers and dispatch as needed- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulationsAbility to pass criminal background checks, DOT physical and drug screen and also DOT Clearinghouse check.Experience:- Previous experience in wheelchair passenger commercial bus driving.- Ability to lift heavy objects when necessary- Experience with paratransit bus driving.- Strong customer service skills- Valid CDL class C or higher driver's license with a clean driving record, passenger endorsement and no N1 or N2 restrictions.- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanorThis position offers competitive pay and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values safety and customer satisfaction.
