Accounting Manager (Non-Profit)Our local non-profit client seeks a mission-driven Accounting Manager to join their team! If you've been looking for an opportunity to work with an organization making an impact in the local Portland community, this could be the place for you!This is a hybrid role requiring qualified applicants to commute weekly to offices in Portland, Oregon.Responsibilities of the Accounting ManagerOversee accounting team members.Manage grant funding and contract review processes.Maintain up-to-date grant information in systems.Review accounting transaction for accuracy.Develop and implement streamlined processes.Ad-hoc project management, reporting, and accounting support.Accounting Manager QualificationsBachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.5+ years of progressive accounting experience including previous leadership or supervisory responsibility.Strong knowledge grant billing functions, debits/credits, GL reconciliations, and allocations.Exposure to grant or fund accounting required; non-profit experience a plus.Proficient with QuickBooks and ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.Strong analytical and decision-making skills.Salary: $85k-$95k (DOE)BenefitsBenefits are available to eligible full-time employees and include coverage for 100% employer-paid healthcare coverage, short and long term disability, FSA, 401k with employer contribution, vendor discounts, and more!About VanderHouwenVanderHouwen is an award-winning, Women-Owned, WBENC certified professional staffing firm.
