Accounting Manager - Fixed Assets 10035General Overview: Responsible for accurate and timely accounting of the organization's fixed assets, including capital projects.Responsibilities:Oversight of recording fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions accurately in the accounting system.Create, monitor, and enhance a robust system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of fixed assets.Recommend updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.Review fixed asset transactions for compliance with Company policy.Monitor company expenditures for fixed assets, comparing them to the capital budget and management authorizations.Work with operations management to validate the existence of fixed assets and timely disposals.Oversight and analysis of depreciation calculations for all fixed assets.Review balance sheet reconciliations in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.Prepare audit schedules related to fixed assets and assist auditors during their inquiries.Prepare and provide recommendations on opportunities to improve processes and changes to company policies and procedures.Accountable for the monthly fixed asset accounting close process and related reconciliation, reporting (fixed asset roll-forward, CAPEX, etc.) and trackingAssist with internal and external audit requests.Work on special projects and perform other duties and projects as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related, accredited field requiredExperience with a publicly-traded company preferredSage system experience preferredMinimum 5 years' experience within an Accounting environment.1 to 2 years of supervisory experience preferredCPA required#IND #ZR
