Position Title: AWS Cloud DeveloperTerms: Long-term contract (6-12 months)Location: Hybrid (Atlanta)Position Overview:As an AWS Cloud Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions on the AWS platform. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll develop cloud-native applications and support Georgia-based organizations with innovative, efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in integrating various AWS services to optimize workflows, data storage, and cloud infrastructure, with an emphasis on serverless architectures and secure web service integrations.Key Responsibilities:* Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and others to meet business objectives in the state of Georgia.* Implement serverless solutions using AWS Lambda with Python, ensuring efficiency and scalability.* Orchestrate workflows with AWS Step Functions and State Machines to enhance operational capabilities.* Develop and maintain SOAP-based web services, implementing custom headers for authentication, security, and data integrity.* Handle MTOM (Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism) attachments, such as PDFs, for the efficient transmission of binary data in web services.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and developers, to ensure effective iterative delivery.* Ensure code quality, security, performance, and scalability through automated testing, code reviews, and best practices.* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development, testing, and production environments.* Stay up to date with AWS technologies and best practices, sharing insights and knowledge with team members to improve overall solutions.Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).* Proven experience with XML, XSD, WSDL, and other web service technologies.* Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly in AWS services and infrastructure.* Hands-on experience developing applications using AWS cloud services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.* Proficiency in Python; familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.* Experience with AWS Step Functions and State Machines is a plus.* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SCRUM framework.* Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative and proactive approach to work.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:* 5+ years experience preferred* AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer) are highly desirable.* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.* Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).* This role is perfect for a professional with a passion for developing scalable cloud solutions on AWS, with the opportunity to make a significant impact within Georgia-based projects and organizations.ABOUT EIGHT ELEVEN:"¯At Eight Eleven, our business is people.
