Imagine making a real difference in the lives of pets and their families every single day - all while flexing your financial prowess!Key Responsibilities:Manage Business compliance with lender loan covenants and financial reporting requirements.Lead the preparation of monthly accrual-based financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.Prepare and review monthly business cash flow reports.Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation for third-party audits.Work closely with external CPAs to ensure accurate tax reporting and preparation of tax returns.Develop and present the annual budget, monitoring actual performance against the budget on a monthly or quarterly basis.Track and present key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive and senior leadership teams.Identify opportunities for additional investments or expense management through KPI analysis.Implement and oversee internal controls, processes, and systems to safeguard financial assets against theft and embezzlement.Maintain familiarity with the AAHA Veterinary Chart of Accounts and Financial Reporting Standards.Requirements:Qualifications:Bachelor of Science or MBA in Accounting preferred.Certified Public Accountant preferred.A minimum of five years of experience in GAAP financial statement preparation and financial planning and analysis.Experience in managing financial reporting for businesses with multiple revenue streams.History of supporting external audit teams in completing GAAP-compliant annual audits.Veterinary accounting experience is a plus, but not essential for success.Skills and Abilities:Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners.Proficient in financial software and tools; familiarity with veterinary-specific financial systems is a plus.
