We offer a full range of benefits and we are now looking for a Payroll Administrator to join the team!General Responsibilities:The Payroll Administrator is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides Payroll support. This role is critical compiling employee time and payroll data. Providing great internal customer support, and driving Payroll functional excellence and process improvement.Significant Duties:Assist with collecting/entering manual timecards, and distribution of payroll checks on a weekly basis.Responsible for the Time & Attendance review export processReconciliation of Gross/Hours between systemsCalculate hours, tax withholdings, deductions.Verify timekeeping records and consult supervisor/employees about discrepancies.Prints checks and administers ACH transactions for California entitiesCreates weekly reports pertaining to payroll and labor managementResponsible for processing incoming verification of employmentProcessing Off Cycle Payroll for Correction Checks, Final Checks and other payments as required.Completes weekly audits of timecards and payroll checks.Process VOEs, W4s, Direct Deposit ChangesResearch and respond to a wide range of inquiries related to payroll and time & attendance.Cross train in Certified Payroll Reporting by processes 1-2 jobs.Cross train in processing Monthly Union Reports for ApprenticesVerify New Hire Status Update Forms - Dual VerificationProvide excellent customer service to internal and external contacts.Performs all duties with a high degree of accuracyHandle sensitive information in a confidential mannerOther duties as assignedRequirements/Qualifications Associate degree (AA) from a two-year college or technical school, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education.Construction Payroll Experience, PreferredCertified Payroll / Union Reporting experience, PreferredAbility to speak, read, and write Spanish PreferredKnowledge of State and Federal law as it relates to payrollKnowledge of Sage and Novatime electronic timekeeping system, PreferredAbility to organize tasks according to departmental prioritiesSuccessfully work in a fast-paced environment at times with frequent interruptionsPrioritize and complete multiple activities within established periods, and ask questions or seek clarification when unclear about expectationsMust be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Attention to detail and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated and follows direction of supervisors, but also able to work without constant direct supervisionExcellent verbal/ written communications skillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex content and documentsPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit long periods, stand, walk, and climb stairs.
