Lab Operations Supervisor

As a Supervisor of Lab Operations at Sollis Health you will play an important role in our patient's care by managing our moderately complex labs in your region that are CLIA certified. Our in-house lab function is critical to our success in providing our members/patients with timely and accurate results that help our providers determine a diagnosis and treat accordingly. This position reports to the region's Manager of Operations.Scheduled: 5 shifts a week, 2 shifts a month will be on the weekend and 1 shift will be at the Hamptons location. Hours are 9am - 5pm.Responsibilities:Oversee Sollis' moderate complex lab operations in your region including but not limited to, new lab setup, vendor management, training and policies.Manages new lab setup including; submitting initial CLIA applications, ordering new lab equipment and lab supplies, lab implementation, setting up new lab vendor accounts, etc.Maintaining current CLIA Certifications. (Updating facility addresses, change in Lab Directors, add/remove lab testing, updating personnel, preparing for State Lab Survey Inspection)Maintain personnel files for training in partnership with the staff's manager and Technical ConsultantComplete Initial Training ChecklistsPerform 6-month Competency EvaluationPerform annual Competency EvaluationsPlans and implements an effective departmental orientation and provides in-service training to employees on proper use of equipment.Partner with our Technical Lab Consultants to adhere to state and federal laws in all Sollis locations under CLIAMonitor supplies inventory and place orders accordinglyMonitor performance and turnaround time for lab results creating new processes and procedures as needed to provide a high-quality patient experience.Oversee processes for specimen handling and Lab Quality Assurance program such as, proper identification on specimen, label the specimen with all required information and handle the specimen according to Sollis Health guidelines as needed.Run lab according to CLIA regulations and Sollis polices.API Enrollment for new and current sites.Completing precision/accuracy, verification, and correlation testing for required lab equipmentMaintain Quality Control according to manufacturer guidelinesMaintain Quality Assurance according to CLIA guidelinesCollect lab specimens for both Sollis' clinic and at home services working a moderate complex lab operationsProcess lab samples both in house according to manufacturer's instructions and according to laboratory protocolPartner with external vendors as needed to process lab samplesRun lab tests ordered by the medical team or established standing protocols including specimen collection, proper identification on specimen, label the specimen with all required information and handle the specimen according to Sollis Health guidelines as neededMonitor performance and turnaround time for lab results and escalating delays as neededPerform related duties, as neededExperience We believe extraordinary people come from a variety of backgrounds, but ideally, we would expect that you have:High School diploma or GED required, Associate's degree or greater strongly preferred3+ years of previous lab and quality work under a CLIA certified lab requiredCertificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant Program strongly preferredOutstanding customer service skills and a high level of professionalism required.Comfortable interfacing with high profile clienteleSkills: To be successful in this role, candidates will demonstrate the following:Enjoy a diverse and fast paced work environmentBe a team playerHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsTech-forward and process oriented, with a goal of making patient care more efficientAbility to juggle multiple priorities at onceTreat highly confidential information with care and discretionDevelop rapport in all relationshipsBe flexible, tactful, and patient, especially under pressurePossess positivity, enthusiasm, and commitment to the goals at handCompensationRange: $31 per hourThis is the range of pay for New York candidates only.
