As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced *Human Resources Specialist* with expertise in *Certified Payroll**, Benefits Administration,* and *401(k) Management* to join our team and support our expanding workforce.*Position Overview:*We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced *Human Resources Specialist* who can manage all aspects of *Human Resources* while specializing in *Certified Payroll, Benefits Administration,* and *401(k) Management.* This role requires a deep understanding of *prevailing wage laws* and the ability to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will be responsible for accurately preparing and submitting certified payroll reports, managing employee benefits programs, and administering the company's 401(k) plan. Additionally, you will oversee general HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and personnel records management.*Key Responsibilities:**Certified Payroll Management:** Prepare, review, and submit *certified payroll reports* in compliance with *Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage laws,* and other regulatory requirements.* Maintain accurate records of employee wage rates, hours worked, deductions, and fringe benefits.* Ensure all certified payroll submissions are timely and accurate, minimizing compliance risks.* Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile payroll discrepancies and support financial audits.* Stay up-to-date on changes in wage laws and reporting requirements to maintain compliance.*Benefits Administration:** Manage the administration of employee benefits, including *health insurance, dental, vision, disability,* and *voluntary benefits.** Coordinate open enrollment, new hire enrollments, changes in coverage, and terminations.* Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers, resolving inquiries and issues efficiently.* Ensure compliance with *ERISA, COBRA, ACA,* and other benefits regulations.* Maintain detailed and accurate benefits records, including enrollments, changes, and claims.*401(k) Administration:** Oversee the company's *401(k) plan,* including enrollments, contributions, loan processing, and withdrawals.* Coordinate with the *401(k) plan administrator* to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.* Conduct employee education sessions on 401(k) plan features and benefits.* Ensure compliance with *DOL and IRS regulations* related to retirement plans.* Prepare and submit necessary compliance testing and annual reporting (e.g., Form 5500).*HR Generalist Duties:** Manage *employee onboarding* and *offboarding,* including new hire paperwork, orientations, and exit interviews.* Maintain *personnel records* and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.* Handle employee relations issues, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.* Develop and update company policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.* Provide HR guidance and support to management and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations.*Qualifications:** *3+ years of HR experience* with a focus on *certified payroll, benefits administration,* and *401(k) management.** Strong knowledge of *prevailing wage laws* and experience with *certified payroll reporting.** *Background in accounting or payroll* is highly desirable.* Proficiency with *HRIS and payroll systems* (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms).* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and record-keeping.* Strong understanding of *ERISA, COBRA, ACA,* and *401(k) compliance* regulations.* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.* *HR certification* (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required.*What We Offer:** Opportunity for *professional growth* and advancement throughout a dynamic and expanding company.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Monday to FridayWork Location: In person
