HRIS & Reporting Analyst Veteran Apprentice

At First Merchants, we value the service, patriotism, and bravery of our military members and have created a 52-week apprenticeship program providing tailored training for veterans pursuing a career in Human Resources.The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) & Reporting Analyst Veteran Apprentice will split responsibilities between the maintenance of the HRIS and basic reporting.As part of this role you will:Administer and monitor HRIS application, including managing and resetting passwords within the HRISTroubleshoot system issuesPerform testing for system upgrades, new software integrations, etc. to ensure application is kept current with vendor's release schedule, patches and other requirementsPerform application maintenance including incident tickets, workflow design and process change requestsCreate and update visual data flow maps to accurately represent the movement and processing of information within the systemParticipate in business process reviews and analysis in order to drive efficiency and system utilizationDevelop supporting documentation including desk procedure manualsUpdate Disaster Recovery plans and modelsProvide basic ad hoc or scheduled Human Resources (HR) report, and maintain the access and distribution of reporting dashboardsTo be successful in this position, we require the following:High school diploma or equivalent (GED)A minimum of two (2) years of application/business/systems or reporting experience, OR equivalent military experienceA minimum of two (2) years of MS Excel experienceVeteran of the U.S. Military with Honorable or Medical Discharge, or an active-duty or former member of the National Guard or ReserveThe following would be a plus:Proficiency in UKG or competing softwareExperience in data collection, analysis, or reportingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills3-5 years of experience as an HRIS or Reporting AnalystFirst Merchants offers the following:Base Pay PLUS BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance401kHealth Savings and Flexible Spending AccountsVacation/Sick TimePaid HolidaysPaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementAdditional BenefitsA little about us:First Merchants is guided by a genuine philosophy of being a meaningful place to work and having a prosperous impact across all walks of life throughout the communities we serve, including consumers, businesses and other organizations.
