*Join Our Team as a Behavior Technician!*Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? At Special Needs Network, Inc. (SNN), we are on a mission to empower *children with autism and other developmental disabilities* in underserved communities. Our work connects disability rights to racial justice, and we need compassionate, dedicated Behavior Technicians to help us make a real difference!*Currently, we are seeking Behavior Technicians in and around Pasadena, CA, a*nd surrounding cities.*Candidates must be willing to drive up to a 15-mile radius around their zip code residence to provide in-home services.*As a *Behavior Technician*, one of your *primary responsibilities* will be to help children navigate and *redirect their behaviors through evidence-based ABA therapy techniques.* You will *engage directly with children through play-based activities, *assisting them in developing essential skills such as:* *Social Skills Development:* Encouraging interactions that promote sharing, taking turns, and cooperative play.* *Communication Skills:* Supporting language development through both verbal and nonverbal communication during fun, interactive games.* *Emotional Regulation:* Helping children recognize and express their emotions appropriately, teaching coping strategies for managing frustration.* *Behavior Modification:* Using positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors and reduce challenging ones during play.* *Motor Skills Development:* Promoting fine and gross motor skills through structured play activities.* *Cognitive Skills:* Enhancing problem-solving and critical thinking through games that require strategy.* *Daily Living Skills:* Integrating learning activities that promote self-care and routine-following skills in a fun context.*Extensive paid training will be provided, requiring candidates to be fully available for the entire two-week training period, which will be conducted both in person and remotely. *This training will cover essential ABA techniques, behavior modification strategies, and effective communication skills, ensuring you are well-equipped to deliver high-quality care.*Key Responsibilities:** *Direct interaction with children *diagnosed with *Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)* or other special needs.* Conducting *play-based activities and providing ABA therapy.** Collaborating with ABA professionals to support the development of children with developmental disabilities.* *Entering data* into our ABA data platform, CentralReach, using a personal device *(a stipend will be provided).**Requirements:** *High school diploma or equivalent (Proof of highest level of education is required).** *Availability Monday to Friday, between 2 pm to 8 pm,* and potentially Saturdays between 9 am to 2 pm.* *Availability for a 2-week paid training *Monday through Friday between 1pm to 6 pm (Hours vary).* *Reliable transportation is required,* *(Proof of valid driver's license, valid registration, and valid insurance is required).** *Previous experience working with children,* especially in a school, daycare, or after-school program, *is a plus.** *Higher education *degree or coursework in *Psychology, * *Child Development,* or related fields *is a plus.** A passion for working with children and making a positive impact in their lives.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to adapt and be flexible in working with diverse children and their unique needs.* *Physical ability to engage in activities *such as *kneeling, running,* *lifting up to 35 pounds,* and *quick movement based on client requirements.**Career Growth Opportunities:*We are committed to the professional development of our staff. *Behavior Technicians have the opportunity to grow within the organization, with potential career paths leading to Mid-Level ABA Supervisor positions and BCBA roles for those with higher education.**Application Process:**To apply, please submit your resume* outlining your relevant experience and qualifications.
