Regularly and directly assists Assistant Controller, Director of Finance or works only under general supervision while executing special assignments or performing specialized or technical work requiring special training, experience and/or knowledge.Partner with the finance team for a $400M global industrial operation to drive positive financial performance. Position will be responsible for key accounting functions as part of period-end closing and preparation of financial statements, i.e. account reconciliations, processing production transactions, generating various reporting, cost and revenue analysis, and posting journal entries. In addition, position will assist with banking activities, file state and local tax sales and property tax returns, provide support for various audits, cost and revenue analysis, and process improvements.This employee will be an important member of our collaborative finance team, supporting the company goals of innovation and sustainable solutions of the highest quality that add value to people's lives around the globe. This position provides the opportunity for learning, skill development, and career advancement, and is ideal for candidates looking for growth potential.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Run period-end reports, generate and post required journal entries and assist in the preparation of financial statements.- Analyze General Ledger for errors, omissions or significant variances, and prepare correcting journal entries as necessary.- Provide value-added, fact-based analytics through the interpretation of financial results for sales, margins, and net working capital. Drive improved decision making through insightful analysis.- Assist in preparing the annual budget and periodic forecasts.- Assist with banking activities, preparing state and local tax sales and property tax returns, and provide support for various audits.- Recommend improvements to business process and procedures.- Management of workflows and deadlines to accurately and quickly close the month, quarter and year-end meeting set schedules.- Works effectively with company personnel, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, time tables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier, and respecting the diversity of our work force in actions, works and deeds.- Ensure proper performance of work and conformance to established control procedures. Provide accounting support for audits such as internal (Swiss), annually (PWC), and request from appropriate government agencies.- Assist the Assistant Controller, Director of Finance, and Senior Accountants as necessary on special projects and financial analysis.- Assist our internal tax team in preparing schedules for tax returns.- All other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:- Performs all operations according to prescribed safety principles.- Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.- Acts as Company representative at other company locations, or at other companies.- Follows the procedures as presented in the Employee Handbook, Etiquette Brochure, department procedures, captures contact information, and follows verbal, written or diagram instructions as provided by supervisors and managers.- Presents a professional appearance as well as presents a professional attitude with customers, distributors, vendors and other company personnel.Your profilePursuing bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance or related field.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookup.Proficient personal computer skills.Passing a company post-employment physical as well as controlled substance testing and background and security checks, as required.BenefitsClear vision and purpose"We are a sustainability and innovation leader providing superior customer value" is our vision and this is what guides us.
