Orthopedic Physician Assistant

An established orthopedic practice in the Merrick, NY area is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role. Candidates with 1-2+ years of orthopedic surgery experience will be considered first.*Responsibilities:** Full-time permanent position -* Monday-Friday schedule - mix of clinic/OR/rounding* NO hospital call* Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments* Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients* Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed*Qualifications:** NY State License* Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail* Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively* Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems*Benefits:** Competitive base* Health insurance* PTO, sick days, holidays* CME allowanceNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
