They are responsible for ensuring that all clients receive services mandated by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). In addition, they provide services to support achievement of effective personal development by working with clients individually or in group settings to identify and resolve issues including substance use, mental health, personal and/or emotional problems, and family issues. The MHP must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements.Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:Master's degreeOne of the following licenses: Licensed Psychologist, LICSW, LMFT, LPCCAge 18 or olderDemonstrated working knowledge in the field of Mental Health ServicesAble to pass Minnesota DHS background studyExcellent written, communication, customer service, and case management skillsStrong facilitation, negotiation, investigation and mediation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPossess maturity, patience, understanding and empathy with recovering individuals and work with a multidisciplinary teamAbility to relate to people from diverse backgroundsPhysical Demands: Sitting for extended periods of time. Daily use of general office and/or residential facility equipment. Lifting (max 10 pounds), minimal reaching, bending and stooping.
