Full Time Nuclear Medicine Technologist

ImageCare Radiology is a medical imaging healthcare company with over 20 outpatient imaging facilities throughout New Jersey. We are looking to hire a full time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our busy Morristown office.The schedule we are looking to fill is Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONPerforms nuclear medicine procedures for referring physicians of a quality that aids in the diagnosis ofthe patient.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform nuclear medicine examinations on patients of all ages including the administration ofradiopharmaceuticals and contrast material as assigned in accordance with established guidelinesin a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination and treatment providing thehighest patient care.Always verify patient with exam order and study to be performed prior to placing patient on thescanning table.Organize and document all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with the referringphysician(s) and the radiologist to ensure accurate and timely performance of procedures.Knowledge of scheduling procedures for CT and nuclear medicine, including PET scans.Maintenance and organization of patient film file records in our EMR and on site as needed.Handling patient priors as needed.Checking and verifying exam with EMR order vs RxVerifying images, notes, authorization number if pertinent to patient exams.Verifying Physician study routing preferences.Scan in patient paperwork and verify exams in PACS with all necessary information for Radiologistto read exam.Maintains continuing education as required to ensure NMTCB certification.Maintain clean and stocked work area.Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.Education and Certifications/License:Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or equivalent (required).New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Radiologic Technologists license (required).BLS Certification (required).Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceHealthcare and Dependent Care FSA401(k)Flexible PTO and sick hours#hpFlu Vaccination Requirement: It is ImageCare's Company Policy that all personnel must be vaccinated with the yearly flu shot.ImageCare Centers provided the following inclusive hiring information:We are an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
