Job Title: Behavior CoachStatus: Full TimeLocation: Multiple Locations to include: East Valley Locations (Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Apache Junction) Phoenix Locations (Phoenix Metro, Central Phoenix, Downtown Phoenix)Company Overview: Open Hearts Family Wellness provides Intensive in-home, community, and school-based support for individuals with behavioral challenges or Autism Spectrum Disorder. We provide evidence-based, person-centered services to promote positive behavioral changes. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Behavior Coach to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.Job Summary: The Behavior Coach will work with children and families to help them develop and implement strategies for positive behavioral change. The ideal candidate will be skilled in positive behavior support, goal setting, and motivational strategies to support children and families in overcoming challenges.Essential Functions (duties):Develop individualized education and interventions for assigned children and families, based on goals created in the Child and Family Team.Provide assistance to children and families by identifying strengths and needs, accessing supports, and partnering with other professional agencies.Provide a minimum of 30 hours of direct support services to enrolled families per week.Assist and support the family in developing social and natural support networks by utilizing community resources.Introduce parents to alternative parenting techniques (positive behavioral support).Provide feedback to the Child and family Teams on progress and the interventions being utilized, or on barriers impeding progress.Provide transportation to child and family as determined by the family's Child and Family Team and service plan.Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support as needed.Attend scheduled department and agency meetings.Attend trainings and supervisions, as assigned by supervisor.Assist in actively assessing work area for non-compliance issues and notify supervisor in a timely manner to ensure follow up.Complete all required documentation and billing requirements accurately and in the assigned time frames.Assist in actively assessing work area for non-compliance issues and notify supervisor in a timely manner to ensure follow up.Provide feedback to the Child and Family Teams and education providers on progress and the interventions being utilized, or on barriers impeding progress.Provide weekly updates and new interventions regarding client status to guardians.Complete monthly reports and distribute to education providers and case managers.All other duties as assigned by supervisor.Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience working with children with a mental health diagnosis,Associate's degree with 2 years of experience working with children with a mental health diagnosis,Bachelor's degree or higher with 1 or more years of experience working with children with a mental health diagnosis,Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health related field (i.e., Psychology, family studies, human development, sociology, etc.) Some experience with mental health preferred.Previous experience as a behavior coach highly preferred.Bi-Lingual in Spanish preferred.Prerequisites:Must be 21 years of age.Possess an Arizona driver's license and state mandated auto insurance.Possess or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.Must be able to pass a 5-panel drug screen.
