Licensed Clinical Supervisor - Full-Time - Temecula and San DiegoKoinonia Family Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time licensed clinical supervisor to oversee our foster care (resource family approval - RFA) and mental health programs in Temecula and San Diego, CA. Koinonia is one of California's leading children's services agencies. The position oversees about six staff in Temecula and about five staff in San Diego, splitting time between the two locations. Responsibilities include managing the RFA (foster care) and mental health programs, supervising a small team of mental health professionals, providing clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians, managing program budgets, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. You are supported by a program director and a complete team of professionals in our corporate headquarters including support in HR, accounting, payroll, administration, IT and marketing. There is also a supervising social worker in each location to provide additional support and on-site management. Additional duties include fostering stakeholder relationships, evaluating services, advocating for client needs, mitigating program risks, and maintaining policies in line with best practices.Opportunity Highlights:Meaningful work supporting youth and families who have experienced traumaAnnual salary of $85,000 or higher, depending upon overall qualificationsSupervise a team of professionals dedicated to bringing hope and healing to youth and familiesPlatinum-level group health insurance for employees and their dependents (medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, behavioral health)Generous PTO accrual, 14 paid holidays, and 401k plan participation with company matchOngoing professional development opportunitiesCollaborative and supportive team environmentSchedule of regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility for remote work after initial trainingKey Responsibilities:Oversees Koinonia's RFA (foster care) and mental health programs in Temecula and San DiegoOversees staff in the provision of services to foster youth, resource families and mental health clients in both offices, supported by a supervising social worker in each officeSupervises staff in completion of social work duties for the RFA programs in each officeOversees the recruitment of resource families for the RFA programs in each officeProvides clinical supervision to pre-licensed cliniciansOversees completion of assessments by pre-licensed staff to inform a diagnosisGuides the development of person-centered treatment plans created by pre-licensed staffOversees the provision of individual therapy in clients' homes or in-office depending upon clients' needsEvaluates the effectiveness of clinical interventions to meet desired outcomesReviews and ensures accurate documentation of client progress and session notesSupervises the completion of CANS assessments by pre-licensed staff and ensures their annual CANS certification is maintainedOversees the preparation and submission of Medi-Cal approval paperwork and related documentationParticipates alongside pre-licensed staff in team meetings and professional development opportunities, providing guidance and feedbackAssists pre-licensed staff in coordinating client discharges and after-care efforts.Ensures pre-licensed staff maintain their intern registration and/or licensure status in good standing and provides required supervision to support their professional developmentParticipates in annual audits of mental health filesCompletes monthly mental health billingParticipates in quarterly Riverside mental health meetings as well as technical assistance meetings as neededRegularly audits client files to ensure quality assuranceQualifications:Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.Active licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist in the state of California (required).Minimum of 2+ years of post-licensure supervision experience in a clinical or social service setting, ideally working with children and families.Proven leadership experience, including supervising and developing a team of professionals.Experience providing clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians, such as AMFTs and ASWs.Familiarity with the requirements for licensure and compliance with state regulations for supervisees.Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, assessments, and treatment planning, with the ability to train and support staff in these areas.Strong commitment to cultural humility and delivering equitable, inclusive, and client-centered services.Adherence to ethical standards and familiarity with local, state, and federal mental health regulations.Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and represent the program effectively with stakeholders.Passion for ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in mental health practices and legislation.High level of integrity and a commitment to ethical practices.Join Our Team: Experience a Fulfilling Work Environment at Koinonia Family Services!At Koinonia, we pride ourselves on creating an exceptional organizational culture that focuses on the quality of relationships and values diversity. The Licensed Clinical Supervisor is responsible for tasks such as visiting client homes, engaging with community partners, often in locations not easily accessible by alternative transportation methods.
