SUMMARY:The Treasury Services Officer is responsible for developing, selling, and servicing treasury services products for the bank's current and prospective clients. The Treasury Services Officer will partner with the Banking team to develop treasury management relationships and with the Deposit Operations department to develop products and processes and provide support.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:Business Development - 45%Manages all aspects of the treasury services sales process including sales planning and implementation, business development, prospect qualification, needs analysis, and proposal presentation.Participates in business development activities and represents the bank to the public in such a manner as to enhance the reputation of the bank.Works with the banking teams to develop and maintain successful business relationships while consistently assessing potential opportunities in the local community and surrounding areas.Identifies and understands customer needs, then builds solutions to help their businesses thrive.Sells and cross-sells deposit products and bank services, including treasury services, while demonstrating professional knowledge of specified lending areas.Responsible for the overall increase in market presence.Refers loan transactions to Mortgage, Retail and/or Commercial Bankers.Relationship Management - 25%Managed a portfolio of deposit-only and treasury services clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships.Acted as the secondary relationship manager for lending clients with complex depository and treasury services requirements.Supported the management of relationships for the bank's top deposit client, ensuring satisfaction and retention.Provided expert service to clients with ICS (Insured Cash Sweep) and CDARS (Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service) needs, ensuring compliance and optimal solutions.Responsible for making decisions and managing overdraft situations for both deposit-only and treasury services clients, balancing client needs with risk mitigation.Client Service - 15%Serves as the primary contact for large complex business depository and treasury services-related needs.Provides exceptional client service to internal and external clients, vendors, and personnel to gain and retain quality relationships.Uses product knowledge to resolve challenging client issues and conducts root cause analysis for products including but not limited to ACH transactions, wire transfers, remote deposit, merchant processing, Bill Pay, and Internet banking.Develops a strong understanding of customer business needs, objectives, motivations, and abilities. Solve problems and proactively suggest solutions to create value for the customer and bank.Proactively provides assistance to customers in determining products and services which best meet their needs.Provides remote pre/post sales customization, installation, training, and ongoing technical and operational support of software, systems, sub-systems, and/or applications for customers requiring remote diagnostic capabilities.Supports the Deposit Operations team on installation, operation, configuration, upgrades, customization, and usage of assigned products.Applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions to correct common failures and document resolutions.Treasury Services Operations - 15%Works with Deposit Operations and the banking teams to develop and establish competitive, high-value, and profitable treasury services products and services.Conducts training for the appropriate bank team members on the features and benefits of treasury services offerings.Prepares customer onboarding, agreement execution, and direct implementation plans.Identifies opportunities for appropriate and cost-effective investment in the banking systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.Coordinates systems and application design, modification, troubleshooting, and implementation of products and services with the client and Deposit Operations.Maintains a working knowledge of all Treasury services products, systems, and processes and an awareness of industry trends.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists departments throughout the bank with special projects and functions.Performs all job functions and interactions with fellow bank employees, customers, vendors, and prospective customers within the guidelines of the Drake Bank Mission, Vision, and Core Values: Dedicated, Reliable, Authentic, Knowledgeable, and Ethical.Performs other duties as assigned.REGULATORY COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Continually enhances knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues through completion of all required online training, and attendance at in-house and external training presentations.Performs all job functions in accordance with Federal and State regulations and within banking policies.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related fieldFive or more years of experience in Treasury services, bank operations or sales or the equivalent combination of education and experienceProven ability to sell and service both current and prospective clientsTreasury Management Certification (CTP) preferred or a willingness to further education and trainingKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:Strong familiarity with Bank operations, products, services, finance programs, policies, and procedures.Knowledge of cash and funds management, bank data processing, and integration into bank operationsFamiliarity with the cost and pricing of bank products with appropriate marginsSelf-starter with a passion for compliance and appreciation for the rules.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including speaking, listening, and presenting, through the use of a phone and computer.Ability to listen and speak clearly and effectively to others and negotiate acceptable resolutions.Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.Ability to establish and foster strong professional relationships with both employees and external sources such as auditors and examiners.Experience using various computer programs and systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Fiserv Premier applications.WORKING CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS USED, ENVIRONMENT and COGNITIVE /PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The environment for this position is a private office that is mostly clean and comfortable.
