We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Analyst to lead and drive analytical insights, business process improvements, and data-driven decisions across our asset and logistics teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of transportation management systems (TMW), strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate complex data insights to diverse stakeholders. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to influence business decisions at the highest levels. This person will have leadership experience of in a professional setting and have a proven record of influencing and working cross departmentally.In the Business Analyst role you will:Create and communicate investment proposals and project proposals that meet business needsCoordinate and facilitate with subject matter experts and system resources to ensure complete and thorough understanding of business problem or opportunity that will be solved with the projectTranslate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to IT developersEnsure project roles, responsibilities and expectations are defined and adhered to through projectManage the performance of a project by tracking deliverables, timeline performance, cost performance, change requests, project issues and project risksCommunicate the objectives and status of projects to the relevant stakeholders during the life of a project, including project plans, status updates, and timelinesSupport change management efforts related to the delivery of projectsDevelop user test plans and participate in meeting system testing goalsBuild relationships with business partners to uncover opportunities and offer technical solutions to optimize future business needsLead and support change management efforts for new transportation strategies, processes, and technologies.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the transportation team.Oversee the implementation and optimization of transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant technologies to enhance operational capabilities.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to propose innovative solutions that enhance transportation efficiency.Act as a key liaison between the transportation team and other business units (e.g., supply chain, IT, finance) to ensure alignment on goals, projects, and priorities.Use business analysis techniques to streamline transportation processes and recommend improvements for cost efficiency, scalability, and overall performance.Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing service levels, reducing operational costs, and improving delivery timelines.Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of process improvements and ensure the alignment of transportation strategies with broader organizational goals.What job qualifications do you need to bring?Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or Business Management is preferred.At least 3 years of professional project management experience or operations-based systems implementation.Transportation experience is requiredLeadership experience of professional employees is requiredProven experience leading mid-sized to large software or operational implementation projects.Ability to develop strong relationships across the company.Proven experience demonstrating a collaborative mindset.Critical thinking skills used to identify business needs, learn business processes, and solve problems.Why PTI?
