*SALESFORCE COMMERCE CLOUD (SFCC) DEVELOPER - NYC*We are seeking a Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer for a 12+ month contract assignment based in New York City, NY. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining J.Crew's e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C development, system integrations, and optimizing high-traffic e-commerce platforms.*What You'll Do*SFCC Development:* Design, develop, and implement custom functionality using Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA).* Build and enhance features such as product catalogs, search, shopping carts, checkout flows, promotions, and loyalty programs.* Develop backend customizations, including controllers, ISML templates, pipelines, scripts, and services, ensuring a mobile-first and SEO-friendly implementation.System Integration:* Integrate SFCC with external systems like Order Management Systems (OMS), payment gateways, ERP systems, and marketing platforms.* Develop and consume RESTful APIs and Open Commerce API (OCAPI) endpoints for seamless third-party connections.* Use middleware tools like MuleSoft for complex enterprise integrations.Performance Optimization:* Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure stability during high-traffic periods (e.g., Black Friday).* Optimize server-side scripts, ISML templates, and queries, and implement effective caching strategies.Testing and Debugging:* Conduct unit testing, troubleshoot production bugs, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.* Use tools like Code Profiler and Log Center to monitor and improve performance.Collaboration:* Work with cross-functional teams to align new features with business goals.* Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to create exceptional customer experiences.* Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.Platform Maintenance and Updates:* Perform platform maintenance, including version upgrades and patches.* Ensure compliance with Salesforce Commerce Cloud security standards and PCI-DSS requirements.* Stay current on Salesforce releases and propose opportunities for platform improvement.*What You'll Bring*Technical Skills:* 3+ years of experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C development.* Proficiency in Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA), JavaScript, Node.js, and ISML templates.* Hands-on experience with OCAPI, SCAPI, and RESTful API design.* Strong knowledge of caching strategies, page performance tuning, and tools like Code Profiler.E-Commerce Knowledge:* Familiarity with retail best practices, including multi-currency and multi-locale setups.* Experience with high-traffic e-commerce platforms and large product catalogs.Platform Tools and Environment:* Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).* Expertise in Salesforce Business Manager for catalog management and promotions.Testing and Quality Assurance:* Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha) and end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Selenium).* Experience with headless commerce architecture using modern frameworks like React or Angular.*Bonus Points For** Experience with middleware platforms like MuleSoft for integrations.* Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools like JIRA.* Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer Certification.* Experience with Salesforce ecosystem tools like Marketing Cloud or Service Cloud.*Ready to Apply?*If you are an experienced SFCC Developer passionate about creating seamless e-commerce experiences, we encourage you to apply today!#IND2Job Types: Full-time, Contract, TemporaryPay: $55.00 per hourSchedule:* Monday to FridayWork Location: In person
