Private Collection SpecialistWe are proudly Virginia owned and operated!Commonwealth Care of Roanoke, Inc. in Roanoke, VA is searching for a Private Collection Specialist to handle private collections. This position supports our centers across the state of Virginia and is on-site in the Roanoke Home office. The specialist will have a schedule of 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday, with one day per week from 10am - 7pm.A few of the exceptional benefits offered to our Private Collection Specialist:Health, Dental, Vision, & Life InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) with Employer-Matching24/7 access to portion of Earned WagesEmployee Assistance ProgramAs a Private Collection Specialist, you will:Make daily private pay collection calls.Manage resident trust accounts for residents in assigned centers.Maintain assigned accounts receivable at or under the company goal.Post cash as assigned.Must be able to communicate with center business office managers effectively and attend monthly conference calls to discuss aging balances.Process refund and write-off requests within company guidelines.Prepare collection letters and monthly statements per policyEstablish payment plans and work returned payments per policyResponsible for completing monthly RFMS scanning for assigned centersAttend training sessions as necessary.Promote and demonstrate a Service Excellence culture.Qualifications for a Private Collection Specialist:High school diploma, or equivalent.Minimum two years' billing and insurance experience, preferably in health care.Accounting/Collection experience preferred.Collection call experience is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.Demonstrated analytical skills for the reconciliation of patient accounts.High level of initiative, confidentiality, organizational skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with payer specific state and local officials as well as center personnel, insurance company representatives, residents, and responsible parties.Must be flexible, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and be able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence team.Able to work flexible schedulesHourly Range: $19.50 - $21.50Come work in a safe environment and be part of a team that is driven by our mission: to provide peace of mind to those we care for: our patients, residents, families and staff.
