The Route Auditor will primarily focus on the identification of potential operational efficiencies and the implementation of new processes to improve performance. The duties and responsibilities are under the direction and supervision of the Route Manager. Through the assignment of work activities and projects, will develop a working knowledge of the driver's day-to-day hauling operations including but not limited to route auditing, analysis and improvement recommendations, safety rules and practices and the function and role of intra-company departments as it pertains to this business and long-term goals (HR, Finance/Accounting and Customer Service). The position will be used to foster a strong succession plan and help prepare for front-line management roles.Requirements:ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the knowledge development and progressive understanding and expertise in route planning, auditing, analysis, improvement and related logistics systemsRides along with drivers on routes to identify container, conditions, weight, size time, accessibility and risk on customer sitesAnalyses the effectiveness of route sequencing, customer count integrity and customer data to increase route efficiencyWorks with all departments to identify improvements that will aid in helping a route improve both efficiency and profitability. The departments may include Customer Service, Billing, Fleet, Operations and Sales, as well as fellow Route AuditorsDevelops a working knowledge of operations, general business practices and applications (e.g., Safety, "Efficiency, Human Resources, Customer Service, TRUX, Finance and Accounting and Financial Planning). The target is to build a comprehensive understanding of how these functions contribute to the daily and long-term success of the employees and the companyUtilizes close interaction with front-line employees to reinforce the understanding and dedication to the drivers and identification of potential safety hazardsAttends driver safety meetings to promote a positive working relationship among all employeesReviews customer account information for accuracyCompletes and submits daily, weekly, and monthly reports, as directedEnhance the company's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsAssist with other related duties, as assignedQualifications / Knowledge / Critical SkillsAbility to multi-taskStrong organization, written and verbal communication skillsMust be a self-starterStrong level of accountabilityEssential to be detailed orientedUpbeat and energized to complete tasks with a positive attitudeMust work well under pressureEssential to learn and practice all safety procedures as safety is our highest value.Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Software Skills & GSI.Compensation: 25Additional Details :Lakeshore Recycling Systems is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
