Job Description:Hamaspik of Kings County Inc. is currently seeking per diem NYS Licensed Occupational Therapists to provide therapeutic services in home settings for our Early Intervention program serving all 5 NYC boroughs with highest concentration in Brooklyn. At Hamaspik we value the importance of a team centered, multi-disciplinary therapeutic approach.Responsibilities include:Working 1:1 with children diagnosed with developmental delaysCreating family centered treatment goals to facilitate carryover and maximum progress.Monitoring & assessing intervention effectiveness utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach.Maintaining appropriate documentation of therapy sessions and caregiver communication.Educating families and caregivers about the therapeutic process.Qualifications:Previous experience with children who have disabilities, in the Early InterventionExcellent written & verbal communication skillsDesire to improve the quality of life of children with special needs.Bilingual a plus (Yiddish and Spanish)DOH fingerprinting clearance
