As an organization of almost 400 employees and more than 80 programs, we lead with integrity and excellence and embrace diversity, collaboration, accountability, and innovation to respond to the ever-changing needs of our community.Our benefits are highly competitive and include:Low employee cost Medical, Dental and Vision Insurances13 paid holidays annually17 PTO daysEnrollment in VA State pension and retirement planEmployee training and educational opportunitiesPaid Life InsuranceHealth Savings PlanFlexible Savings PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramAt Encompass Community Supports, our full-time employees work 37.5 hours weekly.Encompass Community Supports is an approved site for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program.Mobile Crisis Responders provides rapid response, assessment and early intervention to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis; work is performed under regular supervision.SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILTIES:Services are provided in real-time to the location of the individual experiencing a behavioral health crisis.Provides de-escalation and crisis intervention to individuals in the community.Works with individual to identify short-term interventions to manage worsening of symptoms.Creates an immediate plan to maintain safety.Provides coordination of care and linking to appropriate treatment services to meet the needs of the individual.Follows up contact within 2 business days following a crisis episode to individuals maintained in the community to check on referrals and identify further needs.Consults with crisis services to determine if an individual requires an emergency custody order (ECO) and obtains ECOs, as needed.Collaborates with agency staff, departmental staff, stakeholders, and referral sources on cases.Participates in clinical, administrative, and supervisory meetings. Maintains administrative and clinical files, reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.Complete trainings as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:General knowledge of principles and practices of providing care to the emotionally disturbed, socially dysfunctional, behaviorally disordered, mentally ill and/or substance abusive clients and their families.General knowledge of the theories and evidenced based techniques of crisis intervention.Ability to evaluate and de-escalate clients on scene.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates and the public.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) with at least one year of experience in substance use and mental health.Valid Virginia driver's licenseEmployment with Encompass Community Supports is contingent upon the successful completion of our background check process (criminal, DMV, education, drug screening, reference check, DSS, OIG and SAM).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Crisis experience and/ or experience working with youth.Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.Encompass Community Supports is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Posting Start : 01/03/2025
